Analyses and surveys

The activities of the Voivodeship Labour Office in Gdańsk include:
  • analyses and assessments of regional labour market situation,
  • labour demand surveys, including monitoring of shortfall and surplus occupations,
  • surveys to assess the effectiveness of programmes, services and labour market instruments.
All the above actions serve as a basis for preparation of annual assessment of the labour market situation and accomplishment of the labour market policy tasks performed by the Voivodeship’s Regional Government,which is carried out by the Regional Assembly of the Vovivodeship (Province).
The Voivodeship Labour Office prepares:
  • labour market information comprising, inter alia, data on unemployment, numbers of job offers, numbers and structure of the unemployed registered in labour offices – by months and quarters,at the voivodeship and county levels;
  • reports and analyses concerning:
    • labour demand in specified occupations (monitoring of shortfall and surplus occupations in the Pomeranian labour market),
    • the Labour Fund expenses intended for activisation of the unemployed and employees at risk of losing jobs as well as for assessment of employment effectiveness and financial effectiveness of related labour market services and instruments,
    • monitoring and effectiveness assessment of undertaken labour market programmes.
The Voivodeship Labour Office gathers and provides access to detailed current and archival statistical data as well as reports and research papers compiled by various institutions.
